Faris is General Manager of Central Arkansas Telephone Cooperative in Bismarck, Arkansas. He served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1997-2001 and in the Arkansas State Senate from 2001-2010. As a House member, he served as Assistant Speaker Pro-Tempore, Majority Leader, and as Chairman of the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security. As a Senator, he served as Majority Whip, Vice-Chairman of the Arkansas Legislative Council, and was Chairman of the Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs from 2003-2010.

Faris is a graduate of Henderson State University (1983) and the John F. Kennedy School of Government Program for Senior Executives in State Government at Harvard University (1992). He is a former member of the Arkansas Army National Guard, a former member of the Arkansas Lottery Commission and a former Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Ouachita Technical College (now College of the Ouachitas) in Malvern. He is a Baptist.

Bean is a past president of the Association of Health Insurance Advisors and has served on the board of LIFE and the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education in Washington D.C. He is a past president of Arkansas State Association of Life Underwriters (now NAIFA-Arkansas). Jones has spent his 43 year pharmaceutical career in Arkansas. He was most recently the Branch Chief of Pharmacy Services for the Arkansas Department of Health. He was a member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration Commission from 2001-2003 and from 2007-2011.
